BONSAI PLANT MATERIAL
PREBONSAI PLANTS, AN ADAMS' BONSAI SPECIALTY: Many of these plants are ready for wiring and could go right into a bonsai pot. You won't find plants like this at a regular nursery. All are locally grown by Julian Adams for bonsai use, usually in bonsai soil. Aged 3-15 years. NO GRAFTS! Most are partially trained by wiring or pruning. Many have been top and root pruned several times. Individually priced by age and bonsai potential. Quantities vary. These one of a kind plants are priced from $5 to $10,000. Call if you have a variety in mind.

EVERGREEN: Scots pine; five needle pine from Mt. Ishizuchi; Zuisho five-needle pine (rooted cuttings & air layers); Mikawa black pine; Japanese red pine; shimpaku juniper; chamaecyparis & others. Now offering mostly smaller plants.

DECIDUOUS: Named varieties of Japanese maples such as Kotohime; trident maples; cork bark, Seiju, and yatsubusa elm; Korean hornbeam; dwarf Princess persimmon; cotoneaster; dwarf stewartia; & others.

AZALEAS: Azalea for bonsai:  kusianum (white & dark pink), Chinsan, Kakuo, & others. Mostly small sizes or rooted cuttings of popular varieties. Some satsuki.

ACCENT PLANTS: Although interesting as individual plants, my accents are grown to be used in traditional bonsai display. These tiny gems are hard to find. Offerings vary but usually include dwarf hosta, bluets, dwarf sedum, dwarf horsetail, small flowered azaleas, and others.
